The history of Uppada silk is as old as the weave of Jamdani. Patronized by the Kings of Pithapuram, Venkatgiri, and Bobbili, Uppada Silk with a shimmery finish, are known for their lightweight and silk-like texture. The weavers of Uppada in Andhra Pradesh learnt the Jamdani weaving technique, which is 300 years old, and these stunners were born.
